Full-Time | Austin, Texas | $80,000–$100,000 Annually
About the Opportunity
We are a growing, privately owned veterinary hospital in Austin, Texas, seeking an exceptional Clinical Operations Manager to lead daily hospital operations, improve efficiency, and support our team in delivering outstanding veterinary care.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, understands clinical workflows, and knows how to lead people while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
We are seeking a proactive, highly organized individual who takes ownership, identifies problems before they escalate, and continuously looks for ways to improve hospital performance.
The ideal candidate will have a background in veterinary medicine, emergency medicine, hospital operations, or clinical team management. Experience in human healthcare, particularly emergency departments or surgical settings, will also be strongly considered.
Position Overview
The Clinical Operations Manager serves as the owner’s trusted on-site operational representative and is responsible for ensuring that the hospital operates efficiently, professionally, and consistently throughout each shift.
This individual will maintain a visible presence throughout the hospital, actively monitoring patient flow, room utilization, staffing efficiency, team communication, and overall operational performance.
This is not a desk-based administrative position. We are looking for a leader who is actively engaged with the medical team, understands the challenges of a busy hospital, and takes immediate action to resolve operational bottlenecks.

Clinical Team Leadership
Provide direct, visible leadership throughout the hospital during assigned working hours.
Maintain accountability for employee productivity, professionalism, teamwork, and adherence to established procedures.
Identify staffing challenges and make recommendations to improve scheduling and team utilization.
Coach and develop team members to improve efficiency, communication, and performance.
Assist with onboarding, training, and evaluating clinical support staff.
Address operational concerns promptly and professionally.
Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performance work environment.
Patient Flow & Client Experience

Help minimize unnecessary wait times and improve exam-room availability.
Coordinate with medical staff to support timely patient evaluations, treatments, and discharges.
Identify communication gaps between departments and ensure appropriate follow-through.
Proactively address client service concerns and operational disruptions.
Support efficient surgical scheduling, patient preparation, and post-procedure workflows when applicable.
Owner Support & Accountability
Serve as the owner’s trusted eyes and ears within the hospital.
Provide timely, objective communication regarding staffing, operational performance, patient-flow challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure hospital policies, operational expectations, and established procedures are consistently followed.
Take ownership of daily operational challenges and resolve issues independently when appropriate.
Provide regular reporting on key operational performance indicators.
Work directly with ownership to implement initiatives that improve hospital efficiency, team performance, and client satisfaction.
