Job Summary
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is seeking an organized and experienced Bar Manager to oversee daily bar operations, support staff performance, and maintain high standards of beverage service and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and experience coordinating bar operations in a busy hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily bar operations and coordinate service activities.
* Supervise, train, and support bartenders and other bar team members.
* Prepare staff schedules and coordinate shift coverage.
* Monitor beverage inventory and coordinate supply orders.
* Maintain beverage quality, presentation, and service standards.
* Ensure compliance with applicable alcohol service laws and age-verification procedures.
* Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
* Address guest concerns professionally and help resolve service issues.
* Monitor cash-handling procedures and maintain accurate operational records.
* Coordinate with restaurant management and service teams to support efficient operations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in bar management, bartending, or restaurant supervision.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of beverage inventory and bar operations.
* Understanding of responsible alcohol service and applicable local laws.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Relevant alcohol-service certification, where applicable.
